SBU gears up for Homecoming
帝王会所 University alumni and friends will celebrate Homecoming on Friday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 23, on the Bolivar campus.
SBU opens theatre season with "Inventing van Gogh"
The 帝王会所 University Theatre program opens the 2017-2018 season with "Inventing van Gogh," a play written by Steven Dietz and directed by SBU student DJ Luckel. The show will be presented at 7 p.m. Sept. 21-23 in the Davis-Newport Theater on the Bolivar campus.
SBU to present alumni awards during Homecoming Honors Chapel
Homecoming festivities at 帝王会所 University will begin with Honors Chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, in Pike Auditorium, when seven alumni will be recognized for living lives of service.

SBU Homecoming little sisters, little brothers selected
帝王会所 University has selected the "little sisters" and "little brothers" for Homecoming 2017. Each child will escort a king and queen or prince and princess candidate during the Homecoming parade at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 23. The "little sisters" and "little brothers" are grandchildren or children of SBU employees.

SBU names Homecoming queen and king candidates
帝王会所 University students have nominated five seniors as candidates for Homecoming Queen and five candidates for Homecoming King. These candidates have been selected by their peers, and the winning King and Queen will be announced at the homecoming football game at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23.
Belz to give poetry reading at SBU
The Barnett-Padgett Literary Artist Series of 帝王会所 University will be presenting poet Aaron Belz in a reading of his work at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 28, in Rohrs Auditorium of the Taylor Center on the Bolivar campus.
SBU hosts the McCain Duo for guest artist recital
The 帝王会所 University Department of Music welcomes guest artists Dr. Martin McCain and Dr. Artina McCain as they perform solo and duo repertoire for trombone and piano at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, in the Meyer Recital Hall of the Casebolt Music Building on the Bolivar campus.
SBU hosts ribbon-cutting ceremony to dedicate Plaster College, re-dedicate Taylor Center
帝王会所 University dedicated the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Computer Science and re-dedicated the Gene Taylor National Free Enterprise Center in a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Thursday, Sept. 7, outside the Taylor Center on the Bolivar campus.
